Celebrity Big Brother 3 was the third series of Celebrity Big Brother UK. It started on January 6, 2005 and ended on January 23, 2005, airing on Channel 4.

This was the first series of Celebrity Big Brother to air since 2002, as Teen Big Brother: The Experiment and Big Brother Panto were broadcast in its place in 2003 and 2004, respectively. A percentage of phone vote funds went towards helping victims of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami.

Production

Eye

As with most other series of Celebrity Big Brother, the eye logo for the series was a slightly adapted version of the logo used for the previous civilian series. The Big Brother 5, which was made of spikes, was used once again; but it was modified by adding a star to the centre of it.

House

The House, as with all series of Big Brother since Big Brother 3, was situated in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. The living area of the House was almost identical to the Big Brother 5 living area and had very little change made to it. The only part of the garden to be modified was the sheltered area; this was completely modified from a spa, in Big Brother 5, to a seating area with a jacuzzi. The Snug was also changed into a sauna for the housemates. There were very little changes made to the bathroom, aside from the showing no longer being made visible to garden. The only part to the bedroom that was changed was that the beds, for housemates to sleep on, had been repainted. The Diary Room received the minor modification of having its wall tiles change from blue to black.

Celebrity Big Brother 3 featured a total of nine celebrity housemates. The original eight housemates entered the House on Day 1. On Day 5, Jackie Stallone entered the House. On Day 6, Germaine Greer voluntarily left the House.

Note 1: Housemates nominated for the third time - in fake nominations. Whilst the housemates nominated, the public were voting for who they wanted to win. Lisa was evicted the next day, and two days after, there was a double eviction, evicting Caprice and Jeremy. Without the twist, Bez and Brigitte would have faced the public vote.
